Please could others let me know who they order their medial bits and bobs such as base plates / HME's from and how you place your orders eg email / text / website form.
I'm using ATOS and finding it a bit of a problem to order.
I use Atos, same woman emails me around once a month asking what I need, have no voice so can't do it over the phone, and I let her know. My surgery then has to authorise it and then they send Atos the prescription electronically, delivered 2/3 days later as a rule via trackable courier.
I've never had any problem ordering from them, what issues are you having?
Metastatic SCC diagnosed 8th October 2013. Modified radical neck dissection November, thirty-five radiotherapy fractions with 2xCisplatin chemo Jan/Feb 2014. Recurrence on larynx diagnosed July 2020 so salvage laryngectomy in September 2020.
I do the same as MikeO and have a man who sends me an e-mail once a month and he orders the items for me, sometimes your Dr or surgery can be slow in authorising the prescription as when i first started 12 years ago i had to chase them up. Thankfully i have not had any issues since. Good luck.
Chris
I find them excellent to deal with by email since I cant talk. This week I ordered extra adhesive which I have never used before and they sent it within two days saying they had asked the hospital permission. I should add that it doesnt sting like others I have used elsewhere.
