  • Hi, Wendy, I think you will find that flamazine is very good, my neck was burnt quite bad, the flamazine cleared it up quickly.

    All the best.

    Regards Ray..

  • Hi Wendy,

I used polymen dressings when it was at its worst, for about the last week and first week or two after treatment. Then just flamigel or Aveeno. I still moisturise it 8 months on or it itches a little. Otherwise all nicely healed. Hope it settles soon.

  • I was given Flaminal Gel for my burns Wendy. It looked messy but was extremely effective and the external burns cleared up within a few days.
One year on and my neck looks fine, but it really itches sometimes. I try not to scratch it as there is an increased risk of cellulitis apparently, but it drives me mad sometimes!

Gill - what do you moisturise with?

  • Hi Mark

I use the Aveeno moisturiser, I think it's still on prescription if I need it. Nit too sticky. Do it morning and night

  • Hi Wendy I used polymem bandages you would need a prescription  flamazine is good if you can get anyone to prescribe for you in mornjng.
    Hope you get sorted.

  • Ive been using cetraben

    Has anyone tried E45 cream

  • I had these horrible burns which after a week using Flaminal didn’t get any better. I was then prescribed Flamazine and it cleared them up quickly and now 7 weeks post treatment I can’t even see where they were. It worked a dream.

  • ve been using cetraben

    Has anyone tried E45 cream

beware E45 it has alcohol in it and can be irritant. Flamazine is the one that comes out on top

Hi, although I was told it could take a couple of weeks for my neck to heal, it actually took months.  I used the flamazine and the polymen dressings too but also had district nurses to dress it daily. I'm actually left with quite a large area of skin discoloration on my neck, it looks like I've been shot apparently. One thing I've realised is every journey is unique..fingers crossed yours healHearts super fast XXX Heart️Heart️
