Hi Clace if you could pop a bit more info on there’s a few on here who have had reoccurrence. Sorry can’t help I did have chemo but that was in conjunction with radiotherapy.

Hie long ago was your treatment originally and where ? Were you h p v positive?

I had. Radiotherapy between April and June this year. I don't even know much about my chemo treatment. My first is the 6/12 then 3 weeks later that's all I know at the moment

I've never heard of chemo as a stand-alone treatment for H&N cancer before so not really able to comment, could you (as Hazel suggested) give us a bit more detail?

I had a recurrance after six and a half years but that was treated with surgery, radio/chemo was never an option, though possibly might have been if I'd opted for just palliative care I guess.

I had surgery in march told they had got all the cancer. Then started radiotherapy in April. It ended in June. Now they tell me the chemo is to stop it spreading. Its hasn't reached any major organs. That is all I know

There are a few people here who are on immunotherapy for recurrence. What chemo are you on? 

I don't know which chemo I'm on. Only found out this morning.  I'm going to have chemo. I don't think I was told. If I was I don't remember

Triple therapy with platinum, cetuximab and 5-FU are the current NICE recommendations I understand. 
OR immunotherapy.
