Hello all , I am looking on any advice on how to best manage radio dermatitis after 6 weeks of radiotherapy
Hi Halley and welcome to our community. Sounds as if you’ve done with the treatment then. If your RT is finished your skin should very quickly improve. What sort of state is it in? Is it peeling or broken or infected?
Flamigel is a good gel barrier cream but if there is infection folk get Flamazine.
You should still have pretty good access to your team in hospital so you could give your CNS a ring.
As I said earlier, if your RT is done it will get better quickly and be very much better in a week.
Im sure others will be along with other ideas
Good luck and well done for getting through your treatment

Hi Halley I didn’t have radiation dermatitis after treatment but I was burnt from week 5 and was given a polymer bandage at the hospital.I would ring your Macmillann or cans on Monday to see what they could do.maybe Flamazine could help. Well done in completing treatment.
