I have an aroma diffuser is that the same as a humidifier if so can you use essential oils with it or just water.
Hi viv
I don’t think an aroma diffuser would create enough water vapour to make much difference to the humidity of a room. You need a proper humidifier.
The device you use to breath in moist air directly is called a nebuliser

I think Hazel is the one to ask. She had one. I got away without. They would work best in a small bedroom kept pretty warm. I didn’t bother with a nebuliser either making do with a bowl of hot water and a towel.

Hi yes I had a humidifier it was a tear drop shape from Amazon aCool mist model Cost £25
I slept in the spare bedroom so as not to disturb my hubby. To be honest I got to stage I couldn’t stand to hear him breathing. I was much better on my own I could get up without disturbing him. As treatment went on ivwas up at least 3 times a night the humidifier is different from an aroma diffuser yiu mustn’t put oils in humidifier idea is to make the air wetter for you if you were breathing essential oils in that would irritate mucosal linings

I bought this one. It’s small, absolutely silent, sits on my bedside table and lasts all night. I have it set on short blasts which rise about 18”. You can also direct the vapour to an extent. Good luck.
Hi hellbb.
Welcome to the community
I'm a great believer in essential oils and use them for lip balms, massage oils, and in the bath as well as in wax melts and a diffuser. What we are talking about is a humidifier that increases the humidity in your bedroom as you sleep which can help those of us with a dry mouth due to radiotherapy. You don't use anything but water in them and clean them regularly to avoid bacteria build up.
