Ice cream

Yes and soups without lumps, will he be given the drinks or/and a stomuach tube (makes it easier with the drinks), the big problem is it will change as the treatment goes on and will depend on him.

Ice cream custard milk shakes and good old Fortisips though with only three weeks RT you might well get away with only discomfort. Do you know how many Grays you are getting? 

What are Greys?

Yes defiantly in the early week so had little trouble eating it was inky when week 3 turned into week 4 my eating issues really took hold,

Sorry I should have made myself clear. 
A  Gray is a unit of radiation abbreviated to Gy. I had 67 

Some treatments are shorter and more intense delivering them same radiation or sometimes less. 
Your oncologist would have prescribed a certain dose. 

I am not sure about the greys I will find out on my first session of treatment thanks everyone for your input

I couldn't eat ice cream as I found it too gloopy.  By all means get stocked up with things that you think you might be able to eat but also remain open minded as you may find that certain foods just wont suit you during and for some time after treatment.
