Would they bring him back in if it wasnt cancer?

sorry you’ve found yourself here but welcome. 
It’s impossible to give you an answer and it would really be wrong to speculate either way. It is going to be a worrying few days for you all. You might have to just wait but it might be worth calling your ENT consultants secretary. 
I hope the news is good. 

I had a biopsy taken from my inner cheek back in January, they said at the time of doing the biopsy, that I would have to go back, to check that it had healed and the stitches had dissolved, and to tell me the result was clear.  Hopefully this is the case with you dad.

Thank you so much for your support. Just to update and say my Dad is fine. There is cancer but will see him again in 6 months just to check his mouth again. Thanks again
