My chemo stopped working am now starting immunotherapy Wednesday, went for my bloods friday,
Now today left voicemail saying that they need me in b4 9,
For bloods again does anyone know why this could be??
Hi KSM, im not sure what this would be but i guess if you are starting your immunotherapy they are maybe doing more test to be on the safe side as the chemo could have changed your blood count. They want it early so they can test it in time before you start the immunotherapy. Hope all goes well with the immunotherapy, take care.
Chris.
Hi KSM
I am due a neck dissection later this month (it’s my second one in two years) The oncologists did touch on immunotherapy during my appointment so please keep us updated as I personally could end up having that treatment.
All the best I wish you a speedy recovery
Stay strong
J think it could be because they take specialist immunotherapy bloods as well asthe usual ones. It very possible to be as simple as that, try not to over think it.
I start immunotherapy next week too, let's do this !!! Xxx
Good luck with your immunotherapy Tilly mint 61.take care.
Chris
Hi KSM. The first treatment is particularly important and as they make it up on the day, they will want to make sure that it is right. They check for levels of all sorts of things when they do your blood tests and if the team are not happy with the results your treatment may not take place that day. My husband had blood tests a few days before his first treatment and then more on the day of the treatment. He is now coming up to treatment number 5 and with the exception of the first one, he just has his bloods done 5 days before. Hope things. If you have any concerns at all, you really need to talk to someone on your team, whether that is your consultant, specialist nurse or one of the staff on the treatment unit. They will be able to answer your questions and worries. Good luck with everything
Hi my husband is about to start his 2nd treatment this week he has a very strong mind very positive but he has been feeling very tired ..how is yr hubby feeling on his treatment if u don't mind me asking please
Hi Cissy, I've had two immunotherapy sessions so far, third one due tomorrow. I'd say I'm a bit more tired than normal, not sleepy tired but more like lower energy than normal.
I've found that the first week or so is fine but around 14 days after the infusion I start to feel it a bit more.
Compared to the chemo I had last time which was really brutal, this feels like hardly anything. I think different people respond differently though, hope your hubby copes well with it and hope you are coping with it all too. It's sometimes harder for the carer than it is for the patient xxxx
Thank u for replying ..he's just had his 2nd one today made him feel really sick and hot straight after but is better now we will just wait to see how it goes ...he is also on a trial fir the hpv16 vaccine he's had that today as well ....I am OK most of the time I think.positively too ..but then I think too much and get sad but I guess thats all normal..thanks for asking xx
