I finished my last radiotherapy session yesterday.
For the last couple of days having problems with appetite and eating and drinking. After swallowing liquids, tea and water, it hurts a little going down and only have lukewarm drinks. Eating same discomfort. Along with this, no appetite. I know things will get worse, but I was thin before getting cancer and know l have lost weight. I will contact one of the cancer nurses if it continues.
If there are any tips you can give, if you have experienced these symptoms.
Thank you
Angela
Hello Sharon,
Thanks for that info. I am going to ring my Macmillan nurse team after finishing here. I hope you are getting on well with your life right now. To be perfectly honest, I can't remember feeling so unwell. I know these things take time and being elderly doesn't help the situation. Wishing you all the best
Angela
I felt absolutely awful after my treatment to me honest couldn't understand what was happening to me. I had a feeding tube so didnt have to worry about eating. I had my operation delayed but did slowly be come strong enough for the op. I had my op January 24.
Sounds awful, that feeding tube but it did the trick. Hope you are well now. I haven't had the operation, just 3 weeks of radiotherapy.
