First radiotherapy session

Hi. Just to reassure you there is absolutely nothing to worry about. You will be asked to put on a hospital gown and this will remain on. Initially for the first few minutes the machine will pass over you and scan you and then when it passes a second time you are being treated. You will feel nothing either during or after the event. After you have had this a few times then you may well start to feel sore in your oesophagus although not everyone has reported this soreness. I got rather sore after 22 sessions of the 23 that I had. The staff will look after you so don't worry. Best wishes.
