Has anyone had any experience with overseas travel and insurance?

Any information and help regarding cover with a terminal diagnosis would be much appreciated?

  • Hi Wave

You could try good to go insurance or travel time insurance both seem to be ok and I believe insure for terminal diagnosis , although not terminal we have used travel time insurance to include throat cancer and other various medical conditions, it also works out cheaper to take out yearly insurance instead of a one off use

    Hope this helps

  • Thank you Jenny, how much on average was this?

  • Because we went abroad about 6 times a year we got the 12 month insurance and was £180 as it worked out much cheaper for us then insuring every single trip and we were both insured in it

  • Yes I have travelled within Europe using single trip cover. Several times whilst under surveillance and not receiving treatment, nor awaiting test results and symptom free. Terminal but with > 6 months to live. (That is, I planned and took holidays in 3 month interval between scans).
The insurance company was recommended to me by Christie’s and is called Insurancewith. I found the quotes to be better than other companies.
