With the families permission i can inform you that Ray pulled through his operation awake bit of pain but doing well . Great news wishing you a speedy recovery Ray
That’s good to hear. I have been following ‘Geo Ferret’s’ posts as we started this journey at similar times. I haven’t actually posted anything myself, but am truly pleased to hear that the operation has gone well.
Hi Julieanne,
Try not to worry too much about the op. They keep on top of your pain relief for you after. It is a little sore and lots of pipes everywhere but the nurses on the ICU look after you really well. There's one on one care and you have a buzzer if they have to stay for something. Nothing is too much for them. It's very difficult to cough because it's quite uncomfortable. When do you have your op booked for?
Best wishes to you going forward. Take my word for it, you'll be fine and well looked after.
Geo
Thank you for your response. You sound an amazing person. I’ve been a constant reader of this site since my diagnosis in May and have followed your story. I’ve been provisionally told 31st October but will know more over the coming weeks x
It's uncomfortable but not undoable.
Best regards
Geo.
