Dad is newly diagnosed. Oesophageal cancer; spread to the liver and lungs. Inoperable due to heart attack in November and the cancer is too aggressive. Can only have palliative chemo to prolong his life.
Can see every day he is deteriorating. Getting angry easy and struggling to do anything. He’s so poorly. Hospital hasn’t booked him in for chemo and it’s been two weeks now.
I love him so much. I can’t stop crying. Don’t want to lose my dad.
Hello Gil,
I'm sorry that you have found yourself in this position. You will both be in shock at the moment so his anger and your distress are understandable.
My husband and I were lucky because his cancer was diagnosed in time for him to be able to have surgery. I have seen many posts on here from people like you who weren't so lucky, but quite often their situation has improved. Hopefully someone will respond with some positive news and useful suggestions. In the meantime, perhaps chase up the hospital - he may have contact details for a named nurse.
Take care, Tiny ((hugs))
