Mum was diagnosed in November since then she has been on a peg/rig feed trying to build her up. Mum is a very slender but tall woman, approx 5ft 7, 50 kilos. She is currently around 45 kilos. They have told us she has not put a significant amount of weight on to have the surgery. Furthermore, we were told a stent would be fitted to be told later it not br possible as her pipe is closed up. We are now waiting for an appointment for radiotherapy. The cancer has not spread.
I know heartburn is part and parcel of this. Has anyone managed to manage their heartburn?
Hi Eddie, really your Mother should be speaking with her medical team regarding this as they should know as heatburn can also accompany reflux in the interim you could try Guardium which helps Reflux and heartburn, the hospital will have other possibly more helpful medication.
I have a fist full of different tablets for the problem !
I replied so that others may come onto put forward other help
Hope everything goes well
Tony
