Hi first time on here, was told last Monday that I have cancer, was a bit of shock to say the least, however being told that I have something on my pelvis as well was, as it’s not related.
Just waiting now for my pet ct scan so the doctors can tell me what happens next.
Telling family was very difficult but had to be done as the support and love is second to none.
Hopefully I will hear today when my scan is so at least I know what I dealing with and the way forward, I think the not knowing at the moment is what is keeping me awake.
The liquid diet is so hard as most things are sweet and I do feel hungry most of the time, and now to top it off I have toothache so an emergency appointment to the dentist is needed.
Hello FlorieB
Welcome to the forum, I apologise that I have not been around for the past few days so have missed your post.
By your short post, I can see that you have a great deal to contend with all at once, with a cancer diagnosis, a pelvis issue and a toothache, but you also have a supporting and loving family, which is exactly what you need.
Have you heard anymore regarding the CT scan?
There is support here, not only in this forum, but from the Helpline and the chat zones, I do hope that you will let us know how you get on, what the specialists say regarding the cancer and know that we are here for you.
The helpline number is in my signature but there is also the support guide which you may be able to take something from.
Take Care

Hi I have had my ct pet scan late Wednesday afternoon so it’s another waiting game. I know the clinical team meet on a Friday to discuss patients results and form a plan for the treatment ahead. Not sure whether my scan results will get there in time so I might have to wait another week.
Thank you for the support
Scan results move quiet quickly now between departments.. Here's hoping you receive some news on next steps during the week
Good Luck.
