Dad had an appointment at hospital yesterday after getting jej tube in 3weeks ago .he's lost nearly a stone and they don't understand it.
They seem to think there might be a bleed or it may have spread.
Waiting on results of ct scan.Hes stage 3 at the minute unable to get chemotherapy and operation.
Just gutted but the good news he's so positive and upbeat x
Just got ct scan results to say it hasn't spread which is great news.As he's only 5and half stone they won't be doing chemo as he's too frail.
Talk of a stent going in all ifs and buts.
Anyone help with what happens and how long if no treatment.
Appreciate it I'm going out if my mind with worry x
Hi, I’m so sorry to hear about your dad that is awful news. Are they fitting a feeding tube or doing anything to help him gain weight as my dad had a feeding tube fitted when he was too weak to eat and that helped him gain quite a bit of weight!
Dan I ask how old your dad is? When my dads operation failed they told us 6 months to a year with no treatment but he is only 53 and was very fit and healthy before he got cancer so I’m not sure if this changes anything.
A x
Thank you for your reply.
Dad has a jej feeding tube they're not sure how he lost weight.Theyre upping his feed to 12hours and possibly putting a stent in.
He will be 70 in July.So sorry to hear about your husband he is so young.
