Hi, my hubby just finished his 8 rounds of FLOT and herceptin treatment three months ago for his surgery. Currently he is recovering well post op.
May I know if anyone knows if his treatment will affect our plan to start a family? One fertility doctor told us it could potentially damage his sperm permanently. My hubby is 38 and I’m 43 so time is not on our side too.
anyone can share any success stories in having kids after FLOT treatment?
Hi and welcome to the online community
That's great news that your husband is recovering well from his surgery and other treatments.
I can't answer your question about whether his treatment will affect your plans to start a family but I noticed that you hadn't had any response to your post.
You could post your question in ask a nurse and one of the specialist nurses will try to respond within 2 working days but, probably the best person to answer your question, would be your husband's CNS as she has access to his medical records.
When you have a minute, it would be really useful if you could pop something about your husband's journey so far into your profile as it really helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Edit Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
I hope everything goes well for you both.
