Hi everyone I hope your all well as you can be . As some may know my husband was diagnosed in November 2019 , he managed 3 cycles of flot 4th had to be cancelled due to going into stv every cycle due to the diarrhoea which effected his Body salts ect which lead to stv . Was going to have surgery but cancelled due to virus, so he had 4weeks of radical radiotherapy which he finished on 29th may . From being diagnosed he has complained about his mouth constantly saliva buildup, then second round of chemotherapy it was sore no one looked at it just kept putting it down to treatment and the cancer. Two weeks ago a medical doctor look at it and referred him to maxoillfacial because I his tongue was swollen and so sore he could be on his knees in pain . After seeing a doctor at maxoillfacial and a biopsy taken we fine out the cancer has spread to the tongue. Has anyone else had this and if so what was offered . He having MRI on Monday so they can make a decision on what can and can’t be done and see if it localised or not . I feel as if they have neglected him .
Sorry to hear that you're both having to go through this. Reading through your post I would personally be so annoyed with how you've been treated. Don't allow them to fob you off! Cancer doesn't stop attacking just because of the virus, it's far worse.
Keep insisting that something is done!
