can TPN be used at home ? Thanks
Hi,
I know someone that has TPN at home but it's for Crohn's rather than cancer related so it is possible but I don't know if there's restrictions on it. For example, he has to go for regular blood tests and also has to have a Hickman line in permanently.
There's also some supply problems with TPN in the UK at the moment due to issues with the UK supplier which might make it more difficult to get it at home -

It's probably worth asking the consultant next time you see them or giving the specialist nurses a call to find out if it's an option.
Kind regards,
Chris
