Hi All,its Faz 1 here
I am now getting over my op,after three weeks in Hospital I would of been out in nine days but developed a chest infection twice so that slowed my escape.I had my op on the 25th of July and came home Saturday August 17th with enough meds to start a Pharmacy.I had an appointment with my Dietician yesterday and got the all clear to eat solid food (which I have been for since I came home) not in the quantity I used to but there we are.Got an appointment with my consultant on the 17th and an appointment with my Oncologist on the 19th to confirm next cycle of Flot Chemo to mop up any floaters.
So I will post again regarding my progress.
Sorry to hear that you had a chest infection which delayed your escape from hospital. Now you are home you will no doubt be impatient for a new normality to establish itself. Most people find that it takes a good while for your new plumbing to settle and for your strength to return. I found that a nap after meals helped enormously and even now after more than five years I still have the occasional nap after lunch. But that might just be old age! So be patient and work on increasing the length of your daily walks gradually. Find what foods agree and which don’t.
keep posting to keep us updated with your progress and maybe we can offer some useful advice from time to time.

Good Morning Brent S,
Thanks for your reply,I saw my Consultant on Tuesday and he is pleased with my progress .He said that when He operated on me theTumour had shrunk from a stage three to a stage one!! good news. Then he removed it along with all the other bits he had to,I then saw my Oncologist yesterday who is starting me on another four cycles of Flot Chemo to mop up any Floaters !!sounds like a Digestive Biscuit that has been Dunked in a cup of Tea to long eh?and that's it.Have got another appointment with my Consultant in December to see how im doing,no more scans unless I get any Symptons which I never had in the first place so here we go.
I wish everyone who is going through this kind of Journey all the best, and to try and stay positive and strong.I will keep you all posted on my Progress.
Best Wishes Faz 1
That all sounds very positive, especially the shrinking to T1.
It’s a shame you have to endure more FLOT
Good luck with your chemo. Your next appointment with the surgeon will probably be a bit of an anticlimax, but it is a milestone.
