My husband has squamous cell carcinoma. He was diagnosed in Feb. We have been moved from pillar to post by Barts waiting for decision on treatment. A month ago the tumour broke through oesophagus wall into lung. This resulted in op to insert 2 stents to repair hole into lung. This was successful but as a result of this he cannot now have a full treatment of radiotherapy. He cannot have surgery or chemo because of heart condition. They have offered a 2 week radiotherapy to ‘control’ things but we are not sure that this will help at all.
Has anybody else been in this situation? Just don’t know where to go from here......
