I had 6 cycles of r chop in 2018. Unsuccessful. SCT in 2019. Now relapsed. Have just started on 3 cycles of prednisone and rituximab. I was informed that a person can only have 1 course treatment of r chop in their lifetime.
Would this be correct?
The Group only represents a small group of the total number of people who have NHL and may be on this treatment.
I just checked, the drug was approved to be used in the UK in 22 December 2022 so not that long.
So everything is much the same then...... these new-ish treatments although are approved, do take time to filter through the NHS system and for consultants to be fully aware of their existence and application.
I had another general look around the Lymphoma world and found this treatment mentioned in the various Lymphoma Action - Support Platforms.
Lymphoma Action is the only UK Lymphoma Specific Charity who have lots of good reliable information, videos..... basically all things Lymphoma....... pre, during and post treatment.
Thanks for this Londoner12 and that is helpful…… obviously I picked that up wrongly as I am sure that it would’ve the same up here in Scotland as well but our Health Service is devolved so ai do know of some significant differences….
