  • Hi Jeanette49!

Glad that you're clear!  I'm just paused after the first programme of chemo.  Waiting now for a scan and plan for next stage.  It's cheering to hear of successful remissions and I hope I'm not too far away from it!   If it's not rude to ask, please, what is a phoris?

The fatigue is a surprise.  It's so different from tiredness at the end of a hard day.  More like running out of petrol on the motorway.  Mine's always better if I'm outdoors and walking around, so maybe the advice I've read about fresh air and gentle exercise is sound?

Hope you feel more energised soon - even here in Scotland, it's nearly summer!

Hi Cecren thanks for reply  psoriasis is a skin condition which is to do with the amune system the consultant said that having that as well will make the fatigue worse (I have had it for 27 years) Kissing heartcause that on its own give you fatigue let alone the cancer and chemo and he also added age because I’m 70 cheeky sod , any way I didn’t go for the two years maintenance because my consultant said Kissing heart might make a difference it might not so seeing as the R did not agree with me on the six rounds of r chop I couldn’t face two years of it on a maybe, so finished chemo on the twenty six of NovembeKissing heartalso had three lung drainage done which was most worse part of all of it.Any way all good at the moment doing my craft in my little shed out back, and bit of tying up in the garden yesterday here iKissing heartsunny Suffolk.you take care and you soon will be on the clear road yourself, it’s a tough road but no match for us , keep in touch love to bonnie scotland and all on this journey. jean.   Jeanette49.  Sorry about emojis don’t know how that happened.

  • Hi Jeanette49!

Gosh, I never did Greek at school so these words are hard to guess!    Now I understand a bit.  Psoriasis is tricky at best of times, let alone with these treatments.

Rituximab does seem to be pretty likely to trigger allergies for lots of us.  They've kept me on IV route and filled me with antihistimines.    Sounds like you had a hairy old time of it an I don't blame you for declining the 2 years further treatment.    The lung drainage alone sounds grim stuff.

We're about the same age.  What craft work is that you do in your shed?  I'm mostly gardening and scaring my consultant with stories of shifting tons of compost, complete with interesting soil bacteria and a rich soup of fungal spores.  I'm careful and lucky so far, but there are stern rules about handling raw wool for processing that keep me away from shopping in the local woolsheds during shearing this year.
