Was given a diagnosis  of throat cancer by MRI and PET scans, now the biopsie  results have come back and now confirmed  that I have this form orb NHL

ENT doctor was convinced I had throat cancer before that

This is now my second cancer as I had invasive ductal breast cancer in 2023 and successfully got over this

I am to say the least a little fed up as I have an active healthy lifestyle.

Was handed over from ENT to Haematology on Thursday.

We are booked to go on a once in a lifetime (a segment of a world cruise.   The Haematology  nurse said go ahead with our cruise which is booked end of January 2026.

However  got declined by my existing  travel insurer  and comparison  website travel insurers. Went to a specialist travel insurer  who quoted me 21,000 to cover me !!!

Regrettably we have had to cancel our dream holiday

One of our stops would  of been meeting up with my sister who I haven't seen for over a decade, so naturally  very upset.

  • I understand your concerns….. going into my main treatments from late 2013 to late 2015 I had life long, significant drug and animal allergies.

But my various teams (I was treated in 2 hospitals - Inverness and Glasgow) controlled this all very well…… I was often on significant levels of IV medication including high levels of Antihistamines so I often slept through a lot of my treatment and I had no real reactions…..

The animal allergy was relevant in that a few of the drugs I had during my 2 Allo (donor) Stem Cell Transplants were unfortunately grown in animals….. back in 2014 and 2015 it was the only way Cry

The remarkable things is….. my brother was my Stem Cell Donor for both my Allo Stem Cell Transplants and he has no drug and animal allergies…….. and my Allo (donor) Stem Cell Transplants actually changed my DNA to match his…… so I no longer have any drug and animal allergies

You clinical team will control everything to ensure this can be done ((hugs))
