I was diagnosed with CLL when I was 47, now nearing 60 & have just started treatment, taking pills, I'm always picking up every little infection going, getting to the stage where I hardly go out!! Does anyone know if I can claim any benefits. My anxiety & mental wellbeing are being stretched to the limit, I do have some good days Upside down

  • Hi again  and well done navigating across to this corner of the community.

Yes there may well be some benefits you can apply for but the benefits system is a minefield so as I said in your post in the New to Community you are best to get professional help/advice.

You can get this helpful through the  Macmillan Support Line open 8am-8pm (timings may differ across services) 7 days a week on 0808 808 00 00.

You can also check to see if you have any Local Macmillan Support in your area as there may be benifits advisers in a hospital Macmillan advice centre.

Check out for a Maggie's Centre in your area as these centres have benifits advisers

You can also check in with a local Citizen Advice Office.
