I was diagnosed with CLL when I was 47, now nearing 60 & have just started treatment, taking pills, I'm always picking up every little infection going, getting to the stage where I hardly go out!! Does anyone know if I can claim any benefits. My anxiety & mental wellbeing are being stretched to the limit, I do have some good days
Hi again Marchlass and well done navigating across to this corner of the community.
Yes there may well be some benefits you can apply for but the benefits system is a minefield so as I said in your post in the New to Community you are best to get professional help/advice.
You can get this helpful through the Macmillan Support Line open 8am-8pm (timings may differ across services) 7 days a week on 0808 808 00 00.
You can also check to see if you have any Local Macmillan Support in your area as there may be benifits advisers in a hospital Macmillan advice centre.
Check out for a Maggie's Centre in your area as these centres have benifits advisers
You can also check in with a local Citizen Advice Office.
