Hi Good Evening everyone, my name is Simon. I was told in the last few days that I have been told that I’ve got cll it’s called for short. Just wondering if any one had any information on it as it’s still early days for me and my wife. Thank you
Hi again Simon simon2015 and well done navigating over to this corner of the Community although I am always sorry to see folks joining us.
I don’t have Chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL) but I was diagnosed way back in 1999 at 43 with a rare, incurable but treatable type of Low Grade NHL eventually reaching Stage 4a in late 2013 so although my Blood Cancer ‘type’ is different I do appreciate the challenges of this journey rather well.
This will sound rather confusing but although CLL is a type of Leukaemia it is actually seen in the same in the same group as as many types of slow growing Low-grade non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
What have you been told about what your treatment may look like although you may have been told that you will be on Active Monitoring (Watch and Wait)
Let's look for the members with this condition to pick up on your post, you can also look through all the group threads (hit the group name and scroll down) and as always you can hit reply to any older posts.
