Im 52 and I have been bleeding since start of the year. Thought is was to do with menopause, asked GP to take mirena coil out as I thought it was maybe the cause. No change, gp made referral in April and said it was red flagged and I shud be seen within 2/3 weeks......
So 16 weeks later got a hysteroscopy. And have jst got a diagnosis of womb cancer.
Doc has told me I will have to have an mri. And a hysterectomy prob within the next 6 weeks.
Im relieved to find out what is going on, cuz its been a difficult few months waiting for an appointment.
Im now jst nervous in case mri shows anything up, hopefully won't be waiting too long.
Hi Loumagoo0a619b and welcome to the Macmillan community.
I can see that you have joined the womb group as this is your diagnosis, so I’d suggest you might want copy your post there to connect with ladies in a similar situation.
I hope that everything will go well with your upcoming hysterectomy, and you’ll find it helpful to be in the womb group where I know you’ll get lots of support from the lovely ladies there.
Sarah xx
