Hello, I’m new to the group and just looking for some advice
i went for a pill check and told the nurse I was having some irregular bleeding. Not usually heavy until recently
she told me to book a GP appt who examined me and said my cervix was red and inflamed and she has referred me urgently for a colopscopy
that is on Wednesday next week and I’m trying my best to put my fear to one side but I’m absolutely petrified
I hadn’t had any symptoms - but now I feel like I do and I don’t know if it’s my mind playing tricks on me like backache, my bowel movements have always been a bit up and down I’m not ‘regular’ my whole womb and pelvis area feels kind of heavy
im not bleeding now and there was no blood at or after my examination
I’m so frightened I don’t know what to do I know I just have to wait but I’m honestly losing it
one minute I’m calm the next I’m planning my funeral
I would like to say I know where you are coming from. My cancer journey is completely different to yours but when I was diagnosed with metastatic brain tumours from my lung cancer I thought that's it I am dead and actually a lot of people I knew in the medical field thought the same other than my radiographer. And 18 monthslater I'm still here and my tumours have almost disappeared. So I am just saying have faith in the NHS.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
