Hi ladies ,

im just hoping for any advice recommendations from anyone who may have been given the same diagnosis as myself. I’m stage 1b2 squasmos cell carcinoma.

treatment will be a hysterectomy (I’m 35 with two small children 6 and 2) the type of hysterectomy will be discussed with my surgeon on Monday the 9th of dec whether they remove the tubes or not I’m very happy to go on medical recommendation as I’m not planning any more children.

would like to know any tips information  or vitimins people have taken to help recover how long it took to recover and if surgery involved going through the abdomin or vagina?
both of our families live in Ireland my mother will come to stay with us whilst I recover but realistically how long do I need help for?

ant experiences anyone would like to share I would love to hear.

thanks in advance

  • Hi

I’ve seen you post before and see you now know about your stage and treatment. Mine was different, but there are quite a few ladies who’ve been through the hysterectomy surgery so hopefully they’ll be along to add some advice from their experiences.

I’ve had surgery which was a bigger one and was abdominal when my womb and tubes etc were removed and I can’t recall anyone in the group who has had this surgery done vaginally for cervical cancer, but hopefully you’ll get some responses here.

Hope everything goes smoothly and you’ll keep us posted once you’re through to the other side!

    Sarah xx

  • Hi Lorzy321

I had a Radical Hysterectomy for stage 1B2 Adenocarcinoma. I am a bit older than you so was post menopause.

I have replied recently (to Seffie, 'Called in to see Gyno' ) with my experience of surgery.

    Best Wishes
