Hello everyone
Hope you are well
I am Anna and I'm 30 years old and have received cervical diagnosis a week ago. Had an MRI the next day and having my CT scan this Sunday.
The doctors said the cancer looks like its in in its early stages and provisionally staged it as 1A.
I am keeping quite positive but feeling really anxious waiting for results. Hoping the stage won't change.
Wasn't having any symptoms and not having symptoms now either.
Can't believe how well I'm coping to be honest but I've noticed I'm very angry amd frustrated too especially with others but I try to control it.
I'm gappy to have joined this forum

That’s very good news AnnaG
A simple procedure to make sure it has all been removed is a very good result. I hope you can move on from the worry and stress now,

Hi all, I am awaiting an mri as I have cervical cancer symptoms, nothing has been discussed as of yet but I wanted to ask if the doctor only requests an mri if they have suspicions or if it's standard procedure, I am experiencing pelvic pain/bloating, nausea, fatigue and just feeling unwell! This all started about 10 days ago, just wanted to know it anyone else has these symptoms or if it could be something less serious. One thing the consultant noticed was when he went to do the speculum exam, he had to remove it as it was too painful! I have lost weight unintentionally over the last 9 months and I now cannot drink alcohol as after a couple of glasses, it makes me feel unwell which is strange for me! I have had painful sex on and off but put it down to my body being off, now I have these symptoms, I am wondering if something has been building up, I can't help but worry that it is cancer as I just feel unwell x
Hi Cookiemonster97 and welcome to our group.
I can understand you are worried with the symptoms you’ve been experiencing while not knowing what’s causing them.
We are only patients in this group, not medical professionals, so it’s not possible to say why the doctor has requested an mri now, but he/she will want to try and build a picture of what’s going on to reach a decision. An mri will give them a good idea if there is anything of concern.
The symptoms can have explanations other than cervical cancer, but think of it as doctors wanting to rule that out.
I hope you’ll let us know how you get on, and you may want to consider making a new post of your own, as this is rather a long thread and members may not see it as quickly as a new post. If you need any help in how to do that, please let me know and I can help with that. Please keep in touch-this is a very supportive group which will help if you do get a cervical cancer diagnosis.
