Hi there, I’ve already had lletz procedure. Now about to start chemo radiation next week
Hi Caj and welcome to the group
Lots of us have been through chemoradiation, so there will be a lot of advice and support for you in the group as you go forward, based on our experiences.
You haven’t said much in your first post, so if you’d like to share a little more with us, or add details to your profile, it can be very helpful for us to know how you came to be here. I appreciate that you’ve had a LLETZ already, but presume you have also had other tests like scans for example to give your cancer diagnosis?
Please feel free to post any questions or use the group to share any worries or concerns. It can often be easier to share with people who have been through this than with friends or family who haven’t. All the best for your treatment starting next week.

Hi again Caj
Thank you for adding details to your profile- I’m sorry to see your diagnosis changed after your scans. We have a number of ladies who have been through successful treatment for your stage, so I’m going to tag Snobird who will hopefully be able to come along and share her experience.

Hi Caj and welcome to the group. We have a lovely bunch of ladies here who will always help and advise, or just listen. Your Chemo radiation treatment is nothing to worry about. It is very do-able and has very good results. I am a Stage 3C1 and had Radiotherapy every weekday for five weeks with one dose of Chemo a week and then 3 brachytherapy treatments. The worst side effects I suffered was Diarrhoea that started about two and a half weeks into radiotherapy. They gave me some Loperamide and that worked wonders. They also give you some anti-sickness medication but I didn't need to take them. I went off coffee (which was quite grim for a coffee-holic like me) during week 3 and found that jacket potatoes, toast, soup and actually I could enjoy a Subway too!! Do the best you can to look after yourself and stay healthy and please if there are any questions don't hesitate to ask. You really will be fine, the staff are lovely and will guide you through every step of the way. Good luck xxx
