Hi all, so happy to be posting here after many months of not wanting to face reality.
After being diagnosed with Cervical Cancer last year and having a radical hysterectomy 6 weeks later, I'm going through menopause at only 43.
I've been ignoring symptoms just thinking I'm depressed and lazy but after seeing a specialist last week and going through what's been happening with her my bloods have confirmed I'm in menopause.
So relieved to find out but also so worried, I knew this would come but now it's here all those dark days if the cancer diagnosis seem to be back, can't talk about it or I get upset, can't read about it or I get upset.
Would be lovely to talk/chat to someone going through a similar experience as I know that helps.
Much love to all of you out there xxx
Hi Moneypenny79 and welcome to the group!
Just wanted to say hello, although sorry I can’t help with menopause discussions as I was post menopausal at my diagnosis. Hopefully some of the younger ladies will be able to identify and will pop along to chat. I had no problems at all going through a natural menopause, but realise your circumstances are different.
Anyway, glad to have you with us, and hope you’ll find a lot of comfort and support here with us. It’s good to talk and share!
Sarah xx
