Hi there ..still waiting anxiously for the result...

What to do when you start imagining things and it's beginning to look like a full episodes of a melodrama movie?

Love to hear your experience on this.

  • Hello BlessU and welcome to our group!

Do you mind me asking what result you’re waiting on? Have you had a diagnosis yet? Whatever it is, we’ll do our best to help.

  • Hi Sarah...I just had my CIN 3 coloscopy 2 days ago..and the doctor said it will take 1 week for the result...

  • Hi BlessU

Well, that’s not long to wait really. We are all used to waiting for everything in this group!

I would focus on the fact that CIN3 isn’t cancer, first off. And there’s no point in thinking that it’s anything worse than that unless they tell you that they find cancer, which hopefully they won’t. CIN3 cells should be removed though-did you have a LLETZ treatment?

  • Hi Sarah....thank you so much for your positive encouragement....yes I had the LLETZ...but the size of mass taken was a bit of mind blowing for me to see...and right now my best friend is undergoing her 16th Herceptine treatment...so things are quite overwhelming..but I'm sure all these shall pass...

    Thank u so much

  • Hi BlessU

Hopefully the treatment will have removed everything with clear margins and you’ll be fine. It’s tough waiting for results, and we have a tendency to worry that things will be worse than they actually are. I hope your friend is doing ok, but when you see a friend being unwell it’s very natural to worry for ourselves.

Please keep in touch and let us know how you get on. This is a safe place to share your worries and speak with others who can understand your feelings. I will keep fingers crossed for successful treatment for you.
