Hello May and welcome to the group.
I’m sorry you’ve had to struggle for a while to get a diagnosis, and that you haven’t been able to work for the last few months. It’s hard when you have just been diagnosed and are not sure what is happening, but good news that you have an appointment to get your results and plan.
We all struggle with the waiting, but I think we would all agree that things start to feel better once you know the stage of your cancer and what the plan will be to treat it.
We have some ladies in the group who have recently started treatment who will I’m sure come along to say hello, and some of us who have been through treatment and come out the other side!
The main thing is that we are all here to support each other and you need not feel alone with this. Please ask any questions you’d like and we’ll do our best to help you out based on our experiences. We are a friendly bunch, so please keep chatting with us-we are all in this together, and do our best to help and encourage each other.
Sarah xx
Hi May
I've only recently joined this group too. The waiting is definitely the worst part and difficult to stop your mind from wandering. Dr Google is not your friend either.
Everything will hopefully become more clear after your appointment on Friday. It's useful if you can to take someone with you and jot down anything you're wanting to ask.

Hi May, and welcome,
I am in the final week of Chemoradiotherapy and am now at the brachytherapy stage. I remember well the terrible anxiety and stress that the scans and waiting for results causes. Please try to stay positive. I believe it helps so much. This is a great community where as Sarah says, we are all in it together. It really does get better when you get the results and a treatment plan. I hope today went well and you have received your plan for treatment. If you have any questions please ask anybody here. We are all rooting for you and sending you positivity and healing vibes. Also you will be allocated a CNS, if you haven't been already who can help you with lots of different aspects this diagnosis brings including financial ones. They can advise and even help you to apply for various allowances you may be eligible for. Stay strong xxx
