Hi I have just been diagnosed with cervical cancer I have mri and ct scan booked Tommorow to see if it’s spread/stage it I’m so nervous and anxious the wait is the worst thing

  • Hi Gemm and welcome to the group

You're right in saying that the waiting is the worst part of this-it’s very difficult not to have all the answers and information you need.

What I can say is that once you know the stage and then your treatment plan, things will start to feel better and you’ll be able to focus on getting through this.

This is safe group, full of kind and supportive ladies who know exactly how you’re feeling and what you’re going through, so please keep in touch with us, ask any questions and we can all help you based on our own experiences of dealing with this. I hope your scans go smoothly tomorrow and that you’ll soon have the answers you need. xx

  • Thank you so much for taking your time to reply. I have read through quite a few messages on here before I had the courage to write something I do have a supportive network around me but I don’t like to reach out so been apart of this community will and already has helped me loads thank u again for your kind words xx

  • You’re very welcome Gemm. I’m glad you have a supportive network round you as that will be so helpful. In a different way, it can be helpful to talk to ladies who know exactly what you’re going through and how it feels, so I’m glad you plucked up the courage to write a post.  I hope you’ll feel very welcome and supported in the group and can take a lot of positivity from it. xx
