Hi all,
I’ve not long turned 40, teenage kids & wonderful husband, so I have a good team behind me.
Consultant appointment yesterday where he told me that within the amount he’d taken away by LLETZ on Nov 1st there’d been a 1cm area of cancer. He couldn’t see it at the time as it was enclosed in the considerable piece he removed.
Plan now is for an MRI & at this point they are thinking radical hysterectomy. He *thinks* it’s early.
It’s a bit of a rollercoaster isn’t it…
Hi Cricky
Sorry, I didn’t see this post when I replied to your other one. Certainly a lot of ups and downs and unwelcome surprises, as you’ve had. If the consultant got clear margins when doing the lletz and the piece was contained and completely removed, fingers crossed everything will be fine. xx
Gotcha Cricky! Thank you, I’m doing very well thanks! xx
You will probably try to second guess everything-how the doctor says something, what their expression is, what words they used. It’s normal! And usually what we are thinking has no relevance at all.
It may be that they happened to have a free slot because of a cancellation-it’s usually something quite simple like that so try not to overthink things. It gets it over with, so think positive! xx
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
