Hello Ide like to talk to someone please, I had a few smears of blood on tissue after wiping and stomach ache, I thought it was a water infection as had had the symptoms before and antibiotics have cleared it but they didn’t this time, i went back to the doctors and the nurse examined me and said she could see something on my cervix so I got referred to coloscopy, she looked at my cervix and said it looked like high risk but I also had a very angry infection which I have been on antibiotics for for the past 2 weeks, she did a biopsy this was in the 14th September and I’ve still had no results, the waiting is making me ill, ive had a few spots of blood and pelvic/abdominal pain which only stated about a month ago, I’m convinced it’s bad news and it has spread beyond help could someone please reassure me who had been through this thank you so much x
Hi A few years ago I had a similar scare after a routine smear test. The doctor who did the smear seemed convinced something was wrong and so therefore so was I. It all turned out to be nothing in the end just a yeast infection.
So it could very easily turn out to be the same for you. Unfortunately you just have to wait for the results and the waiting is agony but you will get through it. Since then I got breast cancer which is why I'm a champion on this site and not normally on this forum. But I remember how I felt when I was in your situation and wanted to reply to you.
Hope it turns out to be nothing sinister x
Thank you so much for replying I have a really bad infection so I’m praying this it all it is, I’m sorry to hear about your other diagnosis, hope all is going well for you, best wishes dawn xx
Can I ask if you had pelvic pain and spotting, ive been in agony all night, the pain has eased while I’ve been on antibiotics but it’s back again now, waiting on a call back from the doctors xx
Hi , I don't recall having any pain but I think there was some slight spotting. Pelvic pain can be indicative of an infection and really needs to be checked out and hopefully that's what you have and some antibiotics get it all cleared up.
Cancer often isn't painful, I think pain is only experienced if a tumour grows large enough that it's pressing on other organs or causing a blockage. I didn't have any pain with the breast cancer.
xx
Hello, I’ve been to the doctors this morning and the infection on my cervix is still there this is the 3rd lot of antibiotics now, they have cleared it a little she said but it still there, thank you for replying x
So happy for you that it seems to be an infection. I am not a doctor but would suggest you take a good probiotic to replenish all the good bacteria the antibiotics will destroy. Definitely take the antibiotic but take some probiotic too - speak to your doctor about this.
Godwilling, hopefully it is just an infection the same as you, il get in touch with the doctors and ask about the probiotics, thank you for the advice, look after yourself best wishes dawn xx
Godwilling hope you are well, I had my results on Friday and it is cervical cancer I don’t know what stage until the scan results come in, I’m devestated things it’s worse case xx
Oh I am so sorry to hear that at . When are you expecting your scan results to come in? I remember how awful it felt when I was waiting for all my breast cancer results. It one of the most agonising things you can go through as you can't help but imagine the worst.
Really hope you get your results and treatment plan soon. In the meantime try and keep busy and distracted doing whatever it is you enjoy doing and message me any time you need to chat.
Sending big hugs x
Thank you so much, I’m expecting ct results early next week, I have mri on Thursday evening and panel are meeting on the 12th xx
