Hi folks. I finished my chemo, radiotherapy and Brachytherapy in December last year and ever since I've been suffering with painful and restless legs, now having period like pains and sore pelvis. Does anyone else experience the same?.. I've just had my follow up MRI yesterday so have to wait for results
Hi Kermit the Frog and welcome to our group
I’m sorry to see you’re still suffering from side effects after all this time. Let’s see if someone can pick up on that and offer any advice. I have to say that all my side effects from chemoradiotherapy settled down pretty quickly after treatment finished-within a few weeks-so I wasn’t in the same position.
Apart from the mri which you just had, did you have a check up with your doctor following the end of treatment? I wondered if you’ve had a chance to speak to them about the continuing symptoms? I had a check up at 6 weeks post treatment to see how I was feeling.
(You might want to add some information to your profile about the stage of your cancer and treatment which is really helpful when others are replying to you and it saves you repeating yourself or getting asked the same questions over and over).
Do you know how long you’ll have to wait for your mri results? I hope you’ll keep posting and let us know how you’re getting on-it’s helpful for new members to see shared experiences from others who have gone through it.
I’m sorry I haven’t got the relevant experience or advice to share with you, but hopefully some of the other ladies might be able join in to help.
Sarah xx

Hi.. Yes I got my results from my latest MRI and all clear!.. My consultant has referred me to Gynee for a check up on my period like pain and slight bleeding which started mid June but has been easing off this past week, thankfully. She thinks it's scar tissue from my internal radiotherapy as i haven't been using my dilator enough!!
Hi, That’s amazing! So so chuffed for you! Ah that makes sense I have been struggling to use mine too! I get my results on 31st! Bet your so relieved xx
Good luck with your results I've received my Gynee appointment, 31st Aug.. But it's a phone call appointment .. Much help that's going to be!
Thank you xx
Glad you’ve got an appointment through! Hopefully they will get you sorted xx
