Cemiplimab (Libtayo)

No-one in the cervical group has made any posts about this particular drug, but if there is anyone who is on this type of immunotherapy who hasn’t yet posted, you may get a reply from them. I’ve only been able to find it mentioned in the skin cancer/melanoma group.

Cemiplimab

Hmmm, I was going to ask pretty much exactly the same as I’m out of options and should be having cemiplimab when my lung metastasis starts growing again. I just missed having it because I needed chemo back in February and cemiplimab was approved around the time my chemo ended (Carbo/Taxol). I already have an overzealous immune system and have several weird allergies as well as previously having reactions to chemo. For my pre-chemo steroids I had to take 10 dexamethasone pills at a time, whereas most patients take 2-4.

I worry about having a bad reaction and also feel confused as to why they can’t just give so much cycles before scanning then let you have a break if the cemiplimab has had a good outcome. I really dislike the idea of having it for up to 96 weeks or until it stops working.
