Hi everyone,
I’m just wondering if anyone here has experience with mucinous endocervical adenocarcinoma? I’ve recently been told I still have residual disease after chemotherapy, radiotherapy, brachytherapy treatment.
I’m waiting for an urgent PET scan now to see if things are still localised and to work out next steps. They have mentioned that because the tumour has shrunk, a hysterectomy may now possibly be an option if it hasn’t spread, whereas surgery wasn’t possible before. Otherwise it may mean more chemo.
I’m feeling really frightened and overwhelmed at the moment and would really appreciate hearing from anyone who has had a similar diagnosis or treatment path. Even just knowing I’m not alone would help. ️
Hi again Louise
I didn’t see this post until after I’d replied to your other post-sorry!
I did a search in the community for this type of cervical cancer, but drew a blank. That’s not to say someone might see your post and come along and reply, but I’m aware that this is a rare sub type of cervical cancer so it may be more difficult to connect with others in the same situation.
Sarah xx
