Hello everyone,

I just wanted to ask if anyone had any tips or tricks for hair growth after treatment? I went through 11 weeks of chemotherapy and fortunately I didn't loose my hair, but it did start thinning so I got a short pixie cut at the hair dressers but now its at the point where it's really thinning at the top but the back is okey and im not sure what to do? Or how to encouraged regrowth, what products to use? Or wether to shave it all off. Anyone have any advice or suggestion would be a great help

Thanks

  • Hi Shan

I was hoping someone might have come along with some advice for you today, but my reply will bump your post to the top of the group again.

I only had Cisplatin myself, which didn’t give me any issues with hair thinning, but I know you’ve been through different chemos in your treatment. Maybe if you specify which chemos you’ve had, others will be able to identify and share their experiences.

I hope you’ll get some helpful advice to point you in the right direction.

    Sarah xx

  • Hi!

I work in the hair industry as an educator, and had recently qualified in Level 1 & 2 Hair Nutrition via a company called GLOWWA.

They are a health & wellness company that focuses primarily in hair loss and shedding. I would highly recommend that you look in to them.

They even have a meno range, which supports woman’s health & wellbeing and helps with peri meno, menopausal and post meno side effects, alongside helping with the hair issues. This was extremely helpful for me as my treatment threw me in to early menopause at 36 years old.
Please see their Instagram or website for more info - I swear by it now! here are my own pictures - taken 6 months apart.
