Hi all,
New here.. found a small hard lump / growth on my cervix a few days ago.. been to GP who is sending urgent referral after doing an examination and feeling it herself, said cervix does look healthy though.. I’m trying to tell myself it’ll all be ok but I have many symptoms that I have put down to perimenopause and bad digestive system over the past 2 years.. I suppose I’m asking if this is a way anyone here has found out or has a similar situation? The next few weeks will be a worry… 44 and 4 kids, really giving me a lot to consider, trying not to spiral or worry till I need to but also being realistic.
Thanks all ️
Hi Jo81 and welcome to our group.
I’m sorry you’ve got this worry deal with, but best to get it checked out with a referral to a specialist.
I can’t identify with anything similar for myself, as in my life I’ve never felt my own cervix, and now I don’t have one I won’t ever be doing it, but others may have had similar so I hope they’ll come along and post.
I have read about this in the past in the group, and sometimes it has turned out to be a normal part of someone’s anatomy, and its’s positive that your cervix seems otherwise normal.
Definitely try not to let yourself spiral with worry if you can help it, but maybe if you give us an idea of the other symptoms you you have been experiencing, it might allow others to give some further advice.

Thanks for reply.. so the main symptoms would be discharge and bleeding, which varies so much but I have had watery blood at times, like a pinkish colour.. , and other strange discharge which can be yellow /brown / clear.. I usually have a monthly period but will have a bleed mid month too.. rarely a third.. bleeds can be really heavy and last up to a week sometimes slightly longer, sometimes less.. i do get painful abdomen and bloating.. I have been really anaemic for years and the doctors have done many tests but can’t seem to find a reason.. it seems they have thought of everything bar this..
I’m not in a habit of examining myself.. but I do usually “clean” during a period as I get clots and like to make sure it’s all out.. and this is how I found the lump, I’m aware of what’s what with my body so it alarmed me.
