I have GCIN and CIN 3 going to an MDT meeting the doctors has not signed of my results or spoke to me, I called and the nurse said I can only tell you GCIN and CIN 3 because the dr hasn’t signed them off. I then get booked for Lletz under general for large area of cells but along with that a Hystroscopy ( no one mentioned this to me) I don’t know why I need this as well or what they are checking it’s driving me insane no answers just questions.
did they find something in the cervix and now want to check womb?
mid anyone can help would be much appreciated xx
Hi Loulou94
I have done my best to answer these questions in the other thread where you posted, but if anything isn’t clear or you have any more questions please just ask.

Hi Loulou94
I think you mean hysteroscopy; I was referred for one 2017 to check my womb for suspected fibroids.
I know it's generally recommended not to google but I think it's helpful to check things like a procedure such as a hysteroscopy. The NHS website is reliable: www.nhs.uk/.../
Hi Beth,
so sorry to hear your diagnosis, that is really not what I want, I called they said it’s just so I agree they may not even do it, but in all honestly I think they are covering all areas as they are unsure based on the letter I got today.
Im just preying as I’m 29 and have 3 beautiful children and a wonderful fiancé.
my mum passed from ovarian cancer aged 55 2 years ago and I’m just a worrier.
I don’t know what is going on until the MDT but booked in for LLets and Hystroscopy.
thank you for your support and story it helps and I am sorry your outcome was not better xxx
Hi Loulou94
Try not to read too much into everything-it’s standard that appointments are booked even before the mdt meeting just to ensure they are in place. It’s easier to cancel an appointment if it turns out not to be needed than to fit one in. And it’s normal for the mdt to look at everything just to make sure everyone is agreed on the right plan of action.
I know you are worried, but don’t assume there is more to this than you have already been told, as doctors don’t hide things from patients. They just want to be sure they have all the information they need to go forward.

Thank you, I think once it’s all done I will just feel a lot better as I am a healthy young person I just never expected anything to happen maybe silly of me.
I have started mindfulness to keep my mind of it and it is helping.
as always thank you for chilling me out about everything and I know deep down everything will be ok.
thank you Sarah x
Hopefully getting the procedure done will allow you to relax and get back to your normal life. Be prepared to have a waiting time afterwards as what is removed is sent to be analysed in the lab to make sure that clear margins have been obtained-ie that everything abnormal has been removed successfully with an area of clear tissue around.
Waiting was for me the worst part of the whole process-waiting to have tests done, and waiting for the results afterwards. Mindfulness is a really good technique to keep the anxiety down and focus on the present when everything else was out of my control. I couldn’t change anything, but I could deal with it.
You haven’t got too long to wait now, and soon it will hopefully all be over and done with.

Hi Sarah,
so they brought my LLetz forward a week and I have had it done just got home feel tired from general but I’m ok, they did another Coloscopy, Extended Lletz, Hysteroscopy and an Endometrial biopsy which I knew nothing about until after is this normal as seems they have moved from cervix to womb but again had all this and the MDT meeting is tomorrow.
hope your ok and always come to you as you always bring good advice here
xx
Hi Loulou94
I’m glad you’ve had it done now and are home. You can feel tired after a general but if you get a good night’s sleep hopefully you’ll be fine tomorrow.
You should have signed a consent form before you went to theatre, and that would usually have everything on it that they proposed to do. Did you do that today? I’m just wondering if that was on the form and you missed it? The last time I signed a consent form for getting a procedure done in February I couldn’t even read the doctor’s writing!
I think it’s perfectly normal to do a womb biopsy when you’re there, just to check everything’s ok. When cells are high up in the cervix, there’s a chance they could be in the womb itself so I would think they just want to cover all bases. It’s easier to do all these checks when you’re under anaesthetic, so try not to worry about it for now. I would feel glad that they’re being so thorough and checking everything but I understand things can be unsettling when you’re not expecting them.
Are you having any pain or bleeding? I had a biopsy under general as one of my diagnostic tests, and had some cramping and a bit of bleeding afterwards
Take care of yourself meantime. At least today is done with now.

Hi Sarah,
thank you for your reply, I was hoping to feel better today however feeling hot weak tired and crampy with a sick feeling getting tearful as I’m an active person and just feel a bit down.
yes I signed consent for Coloscopy, Hysteroscopy and Lletz, however maybe the endometrial biopsy was part of whatever they see during Hysteroscopy so maybe wanted to be through ether way I don’t mind them doing it just be nice to know why, but like we both say it’s good they are being thorough.
yes I have bleeding and pain very crampy but I’m sure few days I will be fine and the MDT meeting is today so maybe they will explain what went on yesterday as it was the same man who originally did my first coloscopy.
thank you for all you support as always it’s amazing what you do for others ️ x
