Hi all hope you are all doing OK. I've just completed my first week and am a bit annoyed with myself over how rough I am feeling! Was hoping to sail through first few weeks but am struggling. Have diarrhoea, very sickly and have no energy at all plus keep feeling like I'm floating above my body which is very strange! Going to speak to the nurse hopefully on Monday see if there is anything I can be doing to try and improve how I'm feeling.
Hi Abbi
Sorry to hear that-you certainly seem to have been hit hard early on with this. Have you not been given different anti nausea tablets to try and loperamide? There are number of anti nausea meds they can try if one is not effective. And best to take them before you feel sick, rather than wait until you do feel sick. I hope your nurse can get you something sorted on Monday-they do their best to help in my experience. Only thing they couldn’t help me with was the fatigue, but I did rest up a lot and nap when I could.
Sarah xx
Hey Abbi, as Sarah says unfortunately you seem to be experiencing the side effects quite early on. The medical team will be able to tweak your medication to make things easier for you. In any event, well done and congratulations of getting through Week 1. Keep up the good work xxx
