So having had mri that showed nothing and a pet scan that has now shown something and needing a second biopsy it all seems to be going slow.  Two weeks since the pet sCn and a week since the result. Tried my nurse who said sit tight tried the conaultant secretary but no news .  I need to know so I can get on with a treatment plan  . Friends seem to disappear at weekends and I’m keeping busy but can’t settle .

  • Hi

Sorry for not replying sooner but I am on holiday with limited and very intermittent wifi. Maybe you have heard now about the next steps? You haven’t got your results from the biopsy yet, just the petscan? In fact have you had the biopsy, sorry, I can’t recall. Waiting is just awful, when you just need to know what’s next. I hope you have your plan very soon.

  • Hi Sarah. Not to worry ! Hope ur having a good break. Feel I need one soon !   My biopsy is this afternoon but I’ve got a surgery date of two weeks time. and I guess they will canx that should biopsy show something else .  I feel better now with dates in place .  But it’s still not a nice place to be - without much help x

  • At least the sun is shining, but I am missing wifi! Got access in a cafe while having coffee right now. I hope the biopsy goes ok today-I had one under GA and it was over very quickly. They need to have theatre space booked for the op going ahead, so it’s good to have a plan in place, but yes, the biopsy results could unfortunately result in that being cancelled. Let’s hope not though!

  • What will be will be …….    Just had biopsy .  The click makes u jump ! But that’s was all.  He did say mri showed something but consultant said different.  Maybe he ment Ct scan

  • At least that’s it over for you and it will give the answer on whether there’s any issues. Do you know how long you have to wait for the results? Hope it’s nothing of concern.

  • They said up to two weeks for results - usual 2 week window - but my surgery is booked in for 15th so that’s under two weeks now.   Best hurry up lol
