Just throwing something out there to see if any of our ladies have heard the term "Satisfactory Appearance" I had my final MRI done I June and had my letter with results and this is exactly what it says! It goes on to say we will review you as per discussed! I've had a chat with the lovely Sarah and I'm calm and less stressed about it but I feel this is an odd phrase? So if anybody has heard this before or can shed some light on its meaning I'd be very grateful.
Angela xx
Hi Angela..... It sounds like a good result. From what I've read from other ladies if there is something they can see the letter is full of jargon and medical speak. I received a phone call from my Oncologist long before I got the letter but from yours, it doesn't sound like there is anything sinister to worry about. Please keep us posted. I'm sure you would have known by now if there had been anything to worry about xxx
Hi Julie, thanks for the advice,
I have a real problem asking for help or advice from professionals, I feel like I'm wasting their time, I shall know soon enough when I go for a checkup and il write down the questions I need answers to, I'm having bowel problems since treatment ended and Sarah advised me to ring CNS but again I'm useless lol( never was like this before treatment) my confidence has took a knock I'm not sure il get up from but I'm trying. Hope all is well with yourself? Xx
Hi Angela, I also have bowel problems in that they're a lot more active than they ever used to be. But some days are better than others. My confidence also has taken a knock although I try to put on my confident cheerful face at work but to be honest I am struggling a little with work as I'm now back to 30 hours but hey ho, I will see how it goes. Good luck with your checkup xxx
Hi Julie .
It's awful when you're left with side effects, the confidence thing for me came with the brachy..I'm still traumatized!! Then losing my car knocked the stuffing outa me! I'm on the road again but it's taking time to get ME back! I hear you bout work, I've to make up my mind about going back this week and I'm dreading it! I can't do my old job as it's too heavy and tbh I haven't looked for alternative employment but also not sure if I can live on benefits?. I'm ringing Advice NI on Thur to speak to an advisor regarding employment and life insurance so I'll know more then. Hope things improve in work for you and if not maybe cut your hours for a while if possible? I'll keep you posted when I have my review xx
Thanks Angela....It is a big decision going back to work and when I went back I was made so welcome by everybody but now they see me doing all the stuff that I did and they seem to forget my condition and expect more of me. I suppose that is the danger really. I would be very interested to know what you find out when you ring an advisor. Yes please I would love to hear how your review goes xxx
