Hi Everyone
I was diagnosed almost 3 years ago with Metastatic breast cancer of the bones. I recently started Capecitabine as the previous treatment stopped working for me. I feel very breathless recently on slightest exertion which is devastating for me. I used to go dancing a couple of nights a week before this diagnosis. I miss it so much but can't dance now due to fatigue and breathless. I feel it is another part of me that I have lost to cancer!!! Your whole life changes gradually but when you look back to before cancer it is bittersweet. I wished I had danced more and did more when I was well and able. Its almostv3 years now of drug therapy, radiotherapy and now chemotherapy drug with its annoying side effects.
I am tired of all the tablets etc controlling my life. Normally I am very positive but dont feel it atm. I miss working and being normal. Being able to plan a day out without the guilt of worrying will I be well enough etc. I miss me, who I was before all this!!!
Sorry for the rant. I do realise how fortunate I am to be as well as I am and I have very supportive family and partner.
