Breast cancer mets

I am sorry you have mets and are not coping well with the treatment. I hope they can get the balance right for you. Are you recently diagnosed? I found I had mets in my liver not long after I had got a primary diagnosis following a routine mammogram. I remember the shock of it all as well as the surreal nature of going from thinking I was healthy to feeling my days were numbered in a short space of time. That was all in 2022. My cancer is tnbc so treatments are different, and I have no experience of your drug cocktail. But I also have had significant treatment issues along the way. If you click on my name you can read my story. Anyway, welcome to this community. Try to retain hope - metastatic breast cancer is a lot more treatable than it was a few years ago.

In 2018 I was diagnosed with ER positive breast cancer and had adjuvant chemotherapy,radiotherapy, a mastectomy, followed by tamoxifen then changed to exemestane .

It came back May 2026, I have arthritis too and the mets were  picked up by rheumatology doing an X-ray .

I was hoping that I would get on okay with the Ribo and be able to bob along for longer than this, but there always seems to be one thing after another and it's just so hard .

I go on holiday on Saturday and it's my week off meds so i'm hoping to sit back and enjoy but everything is like a big grey cloud . 

Im usually so positive - suppose im having 'one of those days'

I hope you can enjoy your holiday. I am not on treatment at the moment but I did always find it helpful to organise something during those weeks off.

I'm so glad you're not on treatment , are you primary cancer ?
