Hi everyone with secondary, has anyone been on a drug trial that they are finding hard to deal with the side effects? I am now on round 9 and its working ! My cancer has stopped growing and inactive since i started. Which is good i have it in left lung with plural effusion, ribs, spine , lymph nodes in chest and nodes behind liver and kidney. So it was this or chemo tablets next line of treatment on NHS . I have the new drug every 3 weeks and I’m ill for a week or longer and my hair is starting to thin now
. I haven’t got many options left now ! Just wondering if anyone else been through this . Thanks Lisa .
Hi Lisa j
It’s fantastic to hear that your trial drugs are controlling your cancer. It’s a pity it makes you feel rough for part of each cycle but that seems to be the way with many of these treatments. I hope it continues to work for you. With metastatic tnbc my future options are also fairly limited. I remember one oncologist telling me my job was to stay alive long enough for drugs currently in trial to come on stream. What trial and what drugs are you on?
