I’m undergoing investigations to check for bowel cancer. I had breast cancer during Covid, and was given the all clear almost 4 years ago.
Now this problem has appeared and I don’t know what to think. I couldn’t tolerate tamoxifen, and after a while I stopped it and thought I’ll take a chance. Does this mean I have opened myself up to secondary BC and is bowel cancer a common site for metastasis? Feeling very anxious. Anyone out there experienced the same?
Hi Heastaic63 welcome to the forum. Whoa, you decided to stop Tamoxifen and did do based, I'm sure, on the best available evidence you had at the time. That does not mean that what happened then is in anyway connected to what is happening for you right now..unless I may be reading your post wrong but nothing is confirmed as yet re bowel cancer is that right? It might not have anything to do with your previous cancer but best to speak to your doctor to be sure. please be kind to yourself and don't beat yourself up. Sending some hugs your way for now.
